Dickies continues to celebrate 100 years of its work wear heritage. Following on from its recent collaboration with Vincent Alvarez for a skate-inspired collection, Dickies now presents a new capsule of utility and outerwear pieces for Fall/Winter 2022.

Putting together a unisex collection designed for all shapes and sizes, the style assortment draws on the traditional and boxy silhouettes that have been associated with the Dickies brand since 1922. The new capsule is centered around beige, orange, green. , black, white, and gray create minimalist styles that can be mixed and matched throughout the season.

Classic styles are reworked with new technical materials, creating silhouettes that appear to fall more elegantly. Looking further into the new collection, it is based on a selection of “uniform” shapes combining functionality with every day and versatile style. Additionally, Dickies FW22’s standout styles are the new varsity jacket, long-sleeve bowling shirts, and loose-fitting denim.

New work wear designs have been added, which come in the form of pleated pants, made using sustainable and organic fibers. Rounding out the collection, Dickies Skateboarding returns for another season with durable and skate-ready apparel.

The brand behind this viral moment? Dickies, who turns 100 this week. Global brand president Danny Bruce insists the affordable utilitarian workwear brand didn’t pander to TikTok influencers this time. Rather, the brand is steadily making its impact through celebrity dressing, collaborations with brands like Supreme, and a 2022 awareness push where Dickies products were given to Depop sellers to customize among the Gen Z DIY fashion movement .The brand is also currently traveling with Gen Z pop star and TikTok icon Olivia Rodrigo.

The campaign features two UK-based small businesses, handed down from generation to generation, and 3 US-based Dickies ‘makers’, a pitmaster, a lowrider, and a singer who found their passion, Passed down through their families. Made in Dickies Generations offers a behind-the-scenes look at their working lives and reveals the people and stories that shaped them through the family lineage at the heart of their journey.
